The Must-Read Books

When was the last time I read a book? Rasanya sebelum start kelas Master kot.;p It was a long time ago. The last book that I read is 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini. It is a very good read recommended by Deyna, my ex-housemate back in UTP. Dia memang suka baca buku2 ilmiah sikit rather than reading chick-lit novels as I always do. Some say chick-lit cerita perempuan2 bodoh.Hehe. The reason why I love chick-lit novel is tak perlu stress2 & boleh gelak2 sambil baca. Apapun, 'A Thousand Splendid Suns memang sangat best, insya-allah berilmu & bermanfaat. Really love 'Tariq' in that book sampai rasa nak letak nama anak 'Tariq'.Hehe. Ok, I know husband won't approve that name.;p I'm looking forward to read his other book tapi macam takde masa since I have so many books to read and I keep buying more and more books.

Sambil baby shopping harini pergi jugak mencari latest book from one of my fav authors, Sophie Kinsella titled 'I've Got Your Number'.Selalunya sanggup tunggu untuk beli di eBay je but kali ni beli jela since Big W is now offering good price. I plan to start reading it selepas habis exam & assignment end of this week.;p

Perfect combo. Enjoyed the smell of Gloria Jeans & the smell of a new book.:D

Awal2 pregnant memang macam rajin baca. Once masuk 2nd trimester jadi malas.;p Just refer once rasa perlu. Contohnya last 2 days sangat clumsy. I spilled coffee on my table, sambil makan anggur pon boleh sampai terbalik mangkuk & nak masukkan coleslaw dalam fridge pon boleh terbalik mangkuk. Everything happened in a day. Jenuh mengelap.:( I referred to the book and it says that it's one of the symptoms that I might be having! I've become more careful after knowing it.;p

Caused by loosening of joints & the retention of water, perhaps?

Bought these must read books at eBay for 99cents each too and err..still don't have the chance to read them!.:(

Wanna cook like a Masterchef?Go get this book!It's Junior Masterchef btw, not Masterchef.Ceh, tapi resepi ada yang tak macam junior pon.Suruh orang tua buat belum tentu tau.;p

I saw this book at Coles.It costs about $20.

What would you do in long hours flight?

I choose to read my favourite book.selain makan dan tido;p.I managed to finish reading The Gatecrasher (by Sophie Kinsella writing as Madeleine Wickham) during my previous long hours flight.

Got Mini Shopaholic (from eBay!) a few weeks ago but haven't read it yet since I've decided to 'keep' it for my long hours flight from Melbourne to KL (alone, again!) so that I won't feel too bored.

Lost my Shopaholic Takes Manhattan (I don't know how) so bought a new one even dah baca(from eBay too!)

Btw, I'll be flying with my husband again on 20-26Dec.He has a job to do.Melbourne, here I come again!Christmas in Melbourne?;p

Late Night Shopping

This book is a sequel to The Personal Shopper.I bought this book via online a few months ago from Bangi Bookseller but I only managed to finish it a few days ago.Yeah, I've so many books which are still pending to read.(About 15 books!!);p

The main character Annie Valentine was even more annoying and pathetic than she was in the first book but I really love to read the part where she kept using eBay to buy and sell!She made a lot of money from her online eBay shop, Annie V's Trading Station.

Being a personal shopper is 'cool', isn't it?You may know/afford all the designer items!

If you're looking for a funny book, this is not the book.Kinsella's books are more funny.However, it's a fabulous & sexy read.Carmen Reid is more open to sex scene than Kinsella.Btw, I always prefer funny+fabulous chick-lits!~~

The Personal Shopper

Got this book for FREE (worth RM42.90) from Novelholics since I won a contest called "Buku apa ni ek?";p I gave the right answer for the synopsis given.

I never read any Carmen Reid's book so I think I want to give it a try.



This is the first of Annie Valentine novels by Carmen Reid.I have Late Night Shopping and Celebrity Shopper too.

Overall, I'm not really enjoy the book but I love its cover!I took about 1-2 months to finish it.(Ke 3 bulan entah?) Annie Valentine is not as fun as Becky Bloomwood in shopaholic series.Padahal karakter & cara hidup mereka macam lebih kurang.

Anyway, I love this part;

"Personally, she never bought anything at full price: not a haircut (her hairdresser came to all her sale pre-previews), not a tin of beans (she knew what was on offer at every supermarket and cash and carry within a 20-mile radius of her home), not a car (secondhand, Christmas Eve, fantastic deal)."

She never bought anything at full price because she used staff discount at The Store (where she has worked as a personal shopper), she shopped during sale and she used eBay!

P/S - I don't want to buy anything at full price too, can I?;P

My Attraction: Movie & Book

After Confessions of a Shopaholic (I've read all 4 other shopaholic series too except the new Mini-Shopaholic), Lagenda Budak Setan (LBS) turns to be the 2nd movie that I really wanna watch simply because I've read the book & I love it so much!

Lagenda Budak Setan (full movie) is on Youtube now! (Poor me..baru dapat nak tengok semalam ok!;() Btw, I've been watching the drama series@Youtube since the fasting month. It means that I watch the drama first. I hate the actress who play the role of Ayu but definitely I like the drama way better.sampai malas nak tengok movie sampai habis I think I would have liked the movie if I hadn’t read the book. Anyway, I've to agree that movie/drama can't be as much fun as reading a book because there will be a limitation.(directly or indirectly) Imaginasi ketika membaca buku lebih tak terjangkau batasannya.;p

While I was watching the movie, something has caught my attention.

My Hero Chef

Believe me or not, I never cook for my husband since we got married!Adakah membuat teh/kopi dan menyapu chocolate mud spread pada roti itu termasuk dalam memasak?Jika ya,maka pernahlah jawabnya.;pIt's not because I'm sooo lazy to cook. It's because my husband who doesn't allow me to cook! Should I tell you why?(No need I think.;p) That what makes I think my husband is so special for me!And for that, alhamdulillah..:)


Btw,ok,I know that I'm not really a good cook.It's because I rarely cook!The best recipes that I can cook are padprik, sambal ayam/telur, masak kicap and spaghetti.LOL.I think everyone knows how to make spaghetti.I know how to make other recipes theoretically but I never try them. I've bought 4 series of "Senangnya Memasak" by Chef Hanieliza during last book fair in KL but I never try any recipe yet until now.(at least to show some effort?lol.)


Trust me,my hero is a good cook.You just name it - curry,padprik,kurma,tomyam, bubur ayam,nasi lemak etc.They taste good!And for today's dinner, my hero chef cooked this for me!!:')The recipe that I always cooked for him during the old days.;p

Myer Tea Tree Plaza

Yesterday my husband took me to Myer Tea Tree Plaza, since I've never been there before. It is not as big as MidValley Megamall or One Utama in Malaysia. However, there were many people there since Myer was having their sale or maybe because yesterday was Saturday.

One of the reasons of going to Myer:

My friend has suggested me to try Clinique products as I complained to her about my skin which was getting dry especially on nose area due to cold weather.Btw, my skin now is going back to normal even better I think by using my usual daily facial care, Irise. I just need to apply them more regularly than before.What I love most during winter is my skin won't become oily at all!


We made our 1st purchase at Angus and Robertson. It is a bookstore chain in Australia. I don't know which outlet of Angus&Robertson is the biggest one but in Myer, it is not even as big as MPH Alpha Angle.;)

Back to the main purpose of going shopping, searching for a pair of winter boots since I couldn't stand the weather anymore.

Looks like a pair of boring boots but they are comfortable enough.;p

Before going back home,I forced my husband to shop at Chemist Warehouse as they were having sale too!!

100% genuine of course.Can you let it go at $9.99??!No, I can't!
