Adelaide Zoo

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary in Adelaide Zoo.Pfftt. Actually memang takde plan pon nak ke mana since I've just finished my final exam & kami sibuk menyambut orang baru datang Adelaide. Husband got free tickets from SDA & ada SDA Family Zoo Day. Kalau tak, memang jangan haraplah nak pergi ye.;p Adelaide Zoo tak meriah pon macam Zoo Negara. Zoo Negara lagi meriah & macam2 ada. Seriously tak berbaloi rasanya kalau nak bayar masuk zoo ni.

There's a large section for panda tapi yang kelihatan hanyalah 2 ekor panda yang sedang tidur.:(

Waterbirth or not?

I had my 6-month check up today & alhamdulillah everything is ok.:) Since kat sini ada option untuk waterbirth, I requested for it even tak tau pon layak ke tak nanti untuk waterbirth.;p Some of my friends here tak qualify nak deliver secara waterbirth even dah request for it. Baby poo-poo dalam perut, ada masalah baby nak keluar, ada yang baby dah nak keluar, diri sendiri pulak tak confident dengan waterbirth tu sendiri, etc. Nasib masing2. Nasib diri sendiri pon nanti taktau so tak berharap mana pon, just request je & patients are reminded untuk prepare to be transferred out of the water if necessary.

Selain tu, untuk eligible for waterbirth:
- Not overweight & have a BMI less than 35.(if more than that tak muat kot tub tu.hehe.;p)
- Do not want to have pharmacological pain relief or an epidural during labour. (if tiba2 insist nak sure kena keluar dari tub).

Midwife bagi letter of consent to sign & hantar during next appointment.

Anyway, I just pray for an easy, normal delivery. Waterbirth or not is just a bonus but it's good if I've the chance to experience it. Balik Msia kalau deliver memang tak nak bayar extra kot untuk waterbirth.;p

Jalan-jalan kat Target after balik hospital jumpa weigh scale! Sample kat Target. Honestly, I didn't know my weight from week 6 until week 24. Kedekut beli!Hihi.;p Kat sini bukan ada merata2 kat shopping mall bayar 20/50sen macam kat Malaysia. Every check up pon takde siapa nak kisah berat, tak diambil tau untuk direkod.And err..I'm 53kg now.*tepuk tangan*. Baby love, pls don't make it more than 60kg until you pop out from mummy's tummy ok?;p

The Must-Read Books

When was the last time I read a book? Rasanya sebelum start kelas Master kot.;p It was a long time ago. The last book that I read is 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini. It is a very good read recommended by Deyna, my ex-housemate back in UTP. Dia memang suka baca buku2 ilmiah sikit rather than reading chick-lit novels as I always do. Some say chick-lit cerita perempuan2 bodoh.Hehe. The reason why I love chick-lit novel is tak perlu stress2 & boleh gelak2 sambil baca. Apapun, 'A Thousand Splendid Suns memang sangat best, insya-allah berilmu & bermanfaat. Really love 'Tariq' in that book sampai rasa nak letak nama anak 'Tariq'.Hehe. Ok, I know husband won't approve that name.;p I'm looking forward to read his other book tapi macam takde masa since I have so many books to read and I keep buying more and more books.

Sambil baby shopping harini pergi jugak mencari latest book from one of my fav authors, Sophie Kinsella titled 'I've Got Your Number'.Selalunya sanggup tunggu untuk beli di eBay je but kali ni beli jela since Big W is now offering good price. I plan to start reading it selepas habis exam & assignment end of this week.;p

Perfect combo. Enjoyed the smell of Gloria Jeans & the smell of a new book.:D

Awal2 pregnant memang macam rajin baca. Once masuk 2nd trimester jadi malas.;p Just refer once rasa perlu. Contohnya last 2 days sangat clumsy. I spilled coffee on my table, sambil makan anggur pon boleh sampai terbalik mangkuk & nak masukkan coleslaw dalam fridge pon boleh terbalik mangkuk. Everything happened in a day. Jenuh mengelap.:( I referred to the book and it says that it's one of the symptoms that I might be having! I've become more careful after knowing it.;p

Caused by loosening of joints & the retention of water, perhaps?

Bought these must read books at eBay for 99cents each too and err..still don't have the chance to read them!.:(

As for drinks, husband had Barbican; a non-alcohol drink originated from Middle Eastern & I had Banana+Mango juice.So yummeah~~Even masa bukak2 botol tu bau pisangg sangat. I thought I'll burp bau pisang tapi tidak ye.;p

 

Since it was our first time coming here, staff tu quite helpful nak suggest order yang mana. Dia suggest order BBQ Chicken so order jela cos rasa takde mood nak makan lamb. I don't know why but since pregnant cinta mendalam terhadap si kambing sedikit pudar.;p

Halfway

Alhamdulillah, I've hit the halfway mark in my pregnancy! Isn't scary how time flies? I'm 20 weeks pregnant now. Rasa macam baru je dapat buku oren ni kat hospital.
 

Once disahkan pregnant & dapat buku oren tu, dapat goodies bag dengan pamphlets yang banyak & midwife suruh baca.Mula2 memang malaslah nak baca semua kan..Lama2 terhabis jugak baca bila setiapkali appointment bosan menunggu agak lama.Alhamdulillah. each appointment dapat midwife perempuan since memang request tak kisahlah kena datang appointment bila pon asalkan perempuan. Benda wajib check time appointment: check tekanan darah, ukur perut & dengar heartbeat baby.:')

Things in the goodies bag: Pamphlets, Sample - newborn diapers, Oral B floss, Pantene treatment, ointment, healing cream.

Last appointment midwife dah suggest pergi breastfeeding class. It's free and will be held every Tuesday morning. Rasanya nak pergi awal2 ni cos takut nanti dah tak kuasa nak pergi + busy schedule when new semester starts. Dad's class pon ada ye..tapi haruslah my husband tak rajin nak pergi sorang2.~_~ Midwife said, "Your husband can join Dad's class but you don't need to come." Makcik terpekak dengar, "Dance class???" Keh3. Peliklah apahal pulak laki kena pegi dance class sorang2. Midwife replied dengan sabarnya, "Sorry, Dad's class." Actually I'm a lil bit nervous nak pergi breastfeeding class cos takut kena selak2.;p Tapi rasanya takde la kan, guna model je kot.

Dah banyak kali pergi Melbourne pon tak pernah singgah sini.~_~ Husband dah 2x datang sini. It is a must place to go if you're craving for Indonesian cuisine or ikan keli! I was craving for ikan keli so sangat happy-nak-nangis dapat makan.:') Btw, start makan & fall in love with ikan keli masa matrik cos kat rumah memang tak pernah dimasak since my mom hates it.(Nasib dapat laki suka ikan keli.;p) So, every time lunch hour hari menu ikan keli sangatlah gembira bukan kepalang!

Price is quite reasonable for 2 ikan keli per serving. It's around $9-$11. Nasi pon banyak & saya makan habis sepinggan sorang.(Eh, if campur si kenit jadi 2 orang.;p) Lepas habis makan rasa tak laratnya nak jalan dah.~_~

17 weeks pregnant

Husband and I once dreamed we had a baby girl. I always thought a dream is just a dream but kebetulan during my latest check up the sonographer said it's 99% confirmed that I'm having a baby girl, a mini-me!

"The baby is actively moving!Don't you feel it?"
"No."

Ye.Tak rasa apa2 melainkan rasa tak sabar nak buang air akibat banyak minum sejam sebelum scan untuk dapatkan imej baby yang clear.

Till now (about 17weeks & 4days) I still can't feel my baby moving. Doctor said it's normal for 1st pregnancy. Sometimes you have to wait till 22 weeks to feel it!

Insya-Allah, a mini-me in the making.:)

Will confirm it once again during next check up on 9th January!
