G'day, mate!

Random things about my life in Adelaide:

1. I take a shower once a day in the morning/afternoon (during winter)*Tak busuk ok!Sebab tak peluh pon.

2. I rarely drive since I needed to learn how to drive an auto car.and it's a wagon!My first time driving auto was Wani's car.*Reti bawak tapi kekok.Hopefully balik Msia nanti kaki kiri saya masih 'hidup'.

3. I take too much time on grocery shopping even I've made a shopping list.*Untuk pastikan 100% confirm HALAL.:)Habis semua brand dibelek.

4. You know how much I love cats?Cats are nowhere to be seen here.:(*Kat tepi jalan nak pegang/tenyeh/kutip memang takde.Nak pergi beli dekat Pet Shop or ebay (exaggerate)

5. Lotions, moisturizer and lip balm are my best friends.My skin and lips will become rough without them.

6. I don't watch Aussie news but at least I know who Julia Gillard is.;p Ok.I read Yahoo Australia news and I watched Dancing With The Stars (kat Malaysia versi Sehati Berdansa) yesterday.

7. I found that Athan software is very useful.

8. I always bring my reusable shopping bag since you won't get any free plastic bag while shopping here.*Except sesetengah barang basah.

9. Milo/nescafe are not as tasteful as in Msia.*Even nampak sama je packaging.Lain rasanya.Telan sajalah lama2 sedap aje.;p

10. It's so hard to find hot chilli sauce here.(Macam sos Life kat Msia.Ke sini memang takde?)You can only find sweet chilli sauce.Nasib baiklah lidah saya suka sos ala thai

11. I've learned how to be familiar with this thing:


Kalau kat Msia dulu sanggup tahan *** nak cari toilet cangkung.;p

4 Ramadhan berbeza

*Edited from 3 Ramadhan berbeza from my previous blog. I wrote it to make sure that I won't forget all those special moments with all special persons in my life.

Ramadhan 2007
Masa ni zaman praktikal kat PETT.Best puasa masa ni sebabnya balik rumah awal,pukul 4 ke 4.30 entah lupa pulak.Kat office orang sibuk jual biskut raya, mercun pon ada.LOL.Besh2 discover tempat2 berbuka termasuk Restoran Nelayan.
Hmm..KLCC suasana puasa/raya best ok.Ttiba rindu.Sahur kat rumah pulak,paham2 jela camne.Seronok hari2 mak kejutkan dengan makanan semua dah siap.Isk.Saya rindu mak!:'(Saya harap saya boleh jadi kuat macam emak.Bangun awal,siapkan makanan & kejutkan anak2 dengan sabar.


Ramadhan 2008
Last puasa kat UTP.Kat UTP, sahur makan Twiggies dengan minum Nescafe tu macam menu wajib.Tu pon kadang2 sahur pukul 5 sambil tutup mata.Time nak buka puasa memang best.Pegi bazar sana sini sampai ke Batu Gajah saya,CikExRumet ngan Ct mencari makanan.Seperti biasa,saya selalu mencari Air Keladi or Air Katira.Berbuka depan PC sambil menonton cerita kegemaran atau main game memang sangat HEAVEN!!!Ni yang buat saya sangat rindu UTP..Isk.


Ramadhan 2009
Zaman last puasa sebagai bujang.;p Zaman kerja & zaman yang akan mungkin akan terus saya rindu.:'(Sometimes berbuka di rumah,sometimes saya buka kat Staff Room je dengan kawan2.Even sounds pathetic tapi seronok & meriah.Even break 40minit time tula nak makan,time tula nak rush pergi Maghrib kat surau Jusco yang kecik itu tapi tetap best.:)Break petang pergi ke Bazar depan Jusco yang meriah tu bersama kawan2 yang lain.Habis tudung berbau asap ayam percik.Seperti biasa saya yang kuat makan beli macam2.LOL.Kalau shift pagi & berpeluang berbuka kat rumah pon saya tetap pegi bazar untuk membeli menu kegemaran untuk orang2 kat rumah.Menu paling selalu: roti John dan tepung pelita.


Ramadhan 2010
First time puasa as a wife!:),first time puasa kat oversea. first time puasa tanpa emak kejut pagi2.:'(Belum pon puasa saya dah pokpek teringin macam2 kat makanan Malaysia.Camna ni?:'((Cis, orang sibuk fikir nak lebihkan ibadah, saya pulak sibuk teringat makanan.;p) Doakan saya tabah dan tetap happy seperti Ramadhan yang lepas dan juga lebih rajin beribadah. Saya juga nak melalui Ramadhan kali ni dengan riang gembira sebab ia mungkin bakal menjadi Ramadhan yang sentiasa saya ingat dan rindu.:)

Kampung Night 2010

My husband and I went to a dinner event which is called 'Kampung Night 2010'. It is jointly organized by MASCA SA (Malaysian Students' Council of Australia,South Australia), UMNO SA and MySA to celebrate Malaysia's 53rd year of independence.I was so excited to see other Malaysians and it felt like being in my own beloved country.:)


The ticket price is $40 for a student.

The dress code for the night is 'Orang Kampung' or traditional.I didn't have any special attire to match the dress code.:( I only have a pair of baju kurung here and the rest are jubah)!Therefore, I just wore my nikah jubah!(to match the dress code and my husband's baju melayu!LOL)


We sat at Table A (which is quite near to the stage) along with my husband's friends (Their wives are my friends too.) Btw, we've planned to be seated together.;p


There were performances like joget, dikir barat etc but what attracts me most was the food!;p (The lucky draw too, maybe, but I didn't win any.Isk.)

Ok,let's see the food.(All food are catered by San Giorgio and they were HALAL.)

My Mugcake

Yeay!I've made my 5-Minute Chocolate Cake - inspired by this from one of my fav bloggers.:)

Someone-I donno-who (kalau kamu silalah bagitau.:D) gave me this mug (a pair of couple mugs actually) from Aussino during my big day and I love it so much!!It becomes my daily mug.:)



Ok.Back to the main topic.;p


You just need:
1 mug of course!;p
2 tablespoon baking cocoa - I used Cadbury Drinking Chocolate instead.;p
4 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 tablespoon milk - I used Devondale Fresh Milk
4 tablespoon flour Orang Aussie sebut 'flower'.:D
Vanilla essence
Chocolate chips

Btw, you may adjust the recipe according to your taste.You can find more about this cake at Youtube.

This cake is too much for me. I couldn't finish it.maka, Encik Husband silalah habiskan.;p

1 high-fat-cake = no dinner.LOL.

Mas Airline vs Air Asia Meals

Mas Airline meals KL-Adelaide.One way economy class ticket costs RM17XX (bought during non-sale period).

Nasi with chicken rendang, cheese cake, Hwa Tai biscuits, 1 Ferrero Rocher, bun 'keras', something-like-raw-fish and plain water.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the 2nd meal that they had served.;p


Air Asia meal Melbourne-KL.One way promo ticket costs $29X or approximately RM900.Pre-book meal:International meal + Air Asia mineral water.

My 1st Day in Melbourne

19 July 2010
- Departed from Adelaide.Flew with Tiger Airways.Yeay!!Got a window seat again!!
- Arrived Melbourne airport about 2pm after 1 hour & 30 minutes journey.
- Adelaide is 30 minutes behind Melbourne.

Bye2 Adelaide.See you after 1 week.;p

- My dear cousin fetched me at the airport.She took me to her house at Lygon Street.
- Walked around Melbourne city, bought a perfume and had dinner.
- Melbourne is not as cold as I've thought.Penat je bawak jaket yg paling tebal.Thanks to my cousin who lent me her nice jacket.(I think it makes me slimmer & taller.;p)










- I couldn't sleep well at night even the room was comfortable enough with heater.(Missing my husband, maybe?;p) Btw, we only use heater at night starting from 8pm at our home in Adelaide and we only use blanket heater while sleeping. My husband has trained me to survive without heater at home maka badan saya agak kebal pada waktu siang sehingga jam 8 malam.;p

How to Stay Warm at Home Without a Heater?These are some of our tips.
